N.O, not again: mini trip
Picking Up My Rounds
Sooo, a couple of weeks ago, my friend, Nae, graduated from Law school at LSU. And of course we had to go celebrate our new Lawyer Bae!
Since we all work/still in school, we had to make this a mini trip.
But any time I’m around great people and energy, I always have a great time.
Me, Yamz, and Snoop (my friends that came with me) met up in Atlanta, and then drove to Alabama to get Jas (the last pickup).
“hOw COme YAll jUst dIDnt fLY?”
We didn’t want to, for one. And those round trip tickets were too expensive not to come with concert tickets!
Road trips are my favorite. The conversations. The bonding. The jokes. The podcast listening. It’s always a vibe for me.
Baton Rouge
Our first stop was in Baton Rouge (where Nae lives). Of course, the first thing we wanted was some seafood, which Nae had ready for us. Once full, it was time for the drinks, the laughs… and trying to put on Yamz wig cap, lol.
New Orleans: Y2K Night
Our theme for the night was Y2K, and we ate, no crumbs!
We found a cool lounge/club in N.O called ‘Treehouse’ to end the night. Everything was a vibe. The drinks were a vibe. The music was a vibe. The waitress who burned two holes in the canopy from her sprinklers was a vibe.
Considering we were all passed out by the end of the night, I can speak for us all when I say we enjoyed ourselves.
Bourbon Street
We made our way to bourbon street on our last night there. Easy, fun night. Not too much, considering all the driving we had to do the following morning, but nevertheless, we enjoyed bourbon.
I finally got to ride a mechanical bull!
Back to Reality
7 hour drive back home to reality. S/O to our new Lawyer Bae!
We enjoyed the mini trip to celebrate our girl. Next stop… Miami?
